WEEKEND REPORT 5

 Despite a holiday during the week, sessions with Class VIII students continued smoothly. Regular interaction helped in maintaining continuity and strengthening student–teacher relationships. Students appeared more comfortable in expressing their ideas. This week also highlighted the influence of social and behavioural factors on learning. Interaction with fellow trainees helped in discussing issues such as motivation, attention span, and peer influence among students. The weekend was used to reflect on the role of consistency and positive reinforcement in teaching. This week contributed to better understanding of classroom relationships and student psychology.

By this week, familiarity with the school environment had increased, and classroom interaction with Class VIII students became more comfortable. Improved communication helped in creating a positive learning atmosphere. Students responded more actively, indicating better rapport. Interaction with fellow teacher trainees strengthened professional bonding and teamwork. Sharing classroom experiences helped in understanding student behaviour and classroom challenges more effectively. This collaborative approach supported professional growth. The weekend reflection focused on understanding students’ social awareness and learning attitudes, especially in Social Science. This week reinforced the importance of empathy and clear communication in teaching.

  Due to ongoing university examinations, the working days during this week were fewer. However, the sessions taken with Class VIII students helped in understanding the importance of careful planning and efficient use of time. Meaningful interaction was possible even within limited days. This week also provided insight into educational challenges related to Social Science learning. Differences in comprehension levels and student confidence were observed. Interaction with fellow trainees helped in discussing possible ways to support students facing such difficulties. The weekend was used to reflect on balancing academic commitments with teaching responsibilities. This phase contributed to developing organizational skills and reflective thinking as a teacher trainee.
